I've hosted two different podcasts with a military family theme in the past, but they were interview style only and contained very little "me" in them. I was happy merely being a moderator listening to others share their views and stories. As a Generation X kid, I was taught that sharing too much was inappropriate. I often feel like that meme that people post of Michael Jackson eating popcorn when they are merely enjoying the comments but not joining the conversation. Recently, I decided I've had enough of being a spectator in the world. I've always been opinionated but I've always been cautious of rocking the boat. Not anymore. I recently read an article that stated that it is time for Generation X to 'please stand up' so that's what I'm doing. We aren't ready to pass the reins of the world over to our children, the Millennials. Their time will come and they will be great at it, but as they say in the Goonies "This is our time!".
The Endless Search Podcast Season 2 will change focus and start on Sept 24. It will be a 30-45 minute weekly show (except for special topics) and will be available on every platform where you download your podcasts. This podcast is for those that want to hear that they are not alone in life's challenges. Our goal is to show that we, as humans, are more alike than different even when our paths are different. A great way to narrow down our path is to study the paths taken by our ancestry.
We are a family friendly show that will focus on navigating the human experience. We interview experts on topics that include Genealogy research, physical and mental health, family issues, and travel related to our family history. This podcast will focus on the paths our ancestors took, the paths we take and the places they take us.
If you have a question you want to ask on any topic we might cover, send us your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. If we do a show on your topic, we will ask your question live on the show.
